PJA's Jeremiah Fellowship program has expanded once again and will now be taking PJA's brand of Jewish social justice leadership training to our nation's capitol. Started in 2005 the Jeremiah Fellowship grew out of Los Angeles, launching in the Bay Area in only a few short years. Now, with our D.C. partners, Jews United for Justice (JUFJ), the fellowship will be launching in a 3rd city. PJA's Jeremiah Fellowship educates a select cohort of young Jewish adults about PJA’s unique vision of Jewish social justice, engages them in meaningful activism, and prepares them to become the next generation of Jewish social justice leaders. To date, over 100 young Jewish leaders have completed the 9 month Jeremiah Fellowship program, with in-depth leadership training and exposure to a dynamic network of organizers, advocates, rabbis, artists, and renowned scholars. Through bi-weekly sessions, weekend retreats, bus tours, and more Fellows explore the intersection of Jewish tradition, culture, and politics. Thank you and congratulations to JUFJ. Together we hope to grow the next generation of Jewish social justice leaders who will continue to fight for equal rights, social/economic justice, interfaith partnership, and ethical public policy for future generations.
